Founded in 1983 in Edinburgh, Scotland, what began as a small group of friends with a shared appreciation for whisky has since grown into an international community boasting nearly 30,000 members in over a dozen countries around the world.

More than just a club, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has become the ultimate source of the world’s finest whisky. For more than 35 years, we have traveled the world in search of the most exceptional whisky casks hidden away in a the most coveted warehouses in countries such as Scotland, Japan, Ireland and America. Once approved by our expert Tasting Panel, each whisky is bottled and shipped to the USA and around the world where it is offered exclusively to Society members through our website or over the phone.
